There are five Rifton Pacer models available: Mini Small Medium Large XL There are three Rifton Pacer bases available: Standard base The standard base, with improved casters and features, provides exceptional functionality and support. It is designed to be used on smooth surfaces. Indoors or out, the standard base takes users where they need to go. Utility base Bring your gait training outdoors or in with the utility base. Featuring large, rugged wheels and greater base width, the utility base provides better mobility on rough surfaces. The utility base is not recommended for use in the posterior (reverse) position. Treadmill/Stability base Available in two widths, the treadmill/stability base straddles almost any treadmill. Over ground, the treadmill/stability base provides all the functions of the standard base, plus extra stability for those that need it. And you can adjust it from floor to treadmill height with the press of a button. Features: Tool free adjustments With the Rifton Pacer, you don’t need tools to adjust the height, which can be done in 1 or 2.5″ increments. The Pacer features a single telescoping column with a gas spring to make height adjustments easy. Dynamic movement Walking is dynamic. As we take steps to move through space we make subtle but significant shifts of the body both vertically and laterally. The Pacer with the dynamic upper frame accommodates the natural side-to-side and up and down movements of the body during step-taking to facilitate a more effective gait pattern. Smoother transfers The Multi-position saddle makes transfers, especially for heavy clients, so much easier (and safer). By placing the upper frame and MPS in their lowest positions you can ease your seated clients onto the saddle. Easy to measure! No more counting marks on the floor. The new odometer, available as an option, makes it easy to record user progress in any setting. Infinite control for effective movementThe Pacer casters’ five functions let you fine tune the Pacer’s movement as your clients gain control. The variable drag function is made with the same material used in automotive brakes, and gives you greater control with the simple twist of a dial. Easily transportable The detachable upper frame makes it easy to stow and transport the Pacer.
